Can I undelete contacts? - HELP !!!!

Hi,

How do I go about restoring contacts deleted in error?

I deleted a user in error and chose to delete associated records, unaware that they were linked to another users records - with the net result that I have ended up deleting over half of the database in error.

I know I really should have taken a backup first, but I didn't (boy am I mad with myself for not thinking 1!!).

Can you help me out of a pickle?

Hello JayE,
Run ACTdiag, it has a utility to undelete records Be aware that it only restoreste contacts, not the Notes/Histories, etc

Hi Michael,

I was hoping there was an undelete option (like in Outlook), as I read something in the manual about a compress/reindex clearing space used by deleted records, so I thought "aha - they must still be there somewhere, how do I get them back?".

Thanks for the tip. Though I can't see the point of just restoring the contact info without the notes/histores - why would users want to do that?

Can you help further?
