Hi, I'm not sure if this is the right place for this question... apologies if not!! Anyways, hopfully someone can help me out :)

I have been given the wonderful task of creating a list for each PC on our Network, of which there are about 300(!), containing a list of network & locally installed software plus hardware information (RAM, CPU, CD/DVD-Drive, etc.). What I would like to know is if anyone knows of any software I can use that can scan the Networked PC's from my own PC on the network so that I can obtain all this information without travelling to each PC as this would take a very long time.

If anyone knows of any software/thing many help me out it would be very much gratfuly appreciated!!

Many thanks in advance!

You need a heavy-duty third party analysis software.
I know of Belarc ( - their free advisor seems very nice to me, but I'm not an admin and I have no objective view since I know no other application of that type.

Also, it seems that enterprise-level automated analysis costs a pretty penny. If the funding bookworms are keeping the keys close to their chests, you might not have any other choice than footing it and using a single-PC analysis tool (hopefully, you can find a free one).

Pascal.

Cheers guys I'll check those out.

I used Belarc to get the information from all the PC's on our network. The free version can only be run from the local machine. I had to go to all of our machines (about 100) to get the info. The information it gives is awesome, but it took a while to go from machine to machine.

Hi Myque.

We use EZ-Audit ( It is pretty fast and allows you to scan remotely or from a logon script. It's also fairly cheap. If all the PCs are in one location, the cost is $200 no matter hor many seats there are.

Hope it helps.

mpnut: Just remember the free version of Belarc is for personal use only and is not licensed for use in a business or educational institution. That's why I use Aida.

Cheers for all the help peeps! Just incase your interested I found another prog along this idea which sounds good but for some reason it won't install on my PC anyway. Still I imagine if it did it would be a good one, its: ITronicsAudit

Anyone used this before?
