Is there any way in this world to recover from Quark's Bad file format.
Can I get at least some pages in a long document.

* What to do to avoid this message?
* Possibly recovery?

Please help?
I lost my whole day's work?

MarkzTools has a feature called salvage that rescues dead documents.

Regarding the recovery of the text, u can open the .qxd document in a word document by "open with" or assigning the particular application.

the document will open and u can then copy all the text in that document easily.

well u will loose ur style.

You can also get an XTension called Markztools III from Markzware.

Well Balwant you may proceed with the solutions given by MrTechno and el236 or you may try the following:

if you have access to QuarkXPress on another platform, try to open the document on that platform. Sometimes, on a different platform the document will open without any problems. Then, the document can be resaved and brought back to the origional platform.
