I was wondering... because i just installed Office 2003 on my home computer.... I need to open the document in another computer which has office 2000.... will I be able to open it in that computer?

Should be able to, apparently there's no great changes in 2003 over 2002. Check in the File, Save As... box for the File Type: listing. 2000 and 2002 use the same file types.

yes, i figured about the ".doc" file extension. Just wanted to make sure. thanks.

Honestly, would it not been easier to just try?
There can be combinations in which it will not work, if and when you would use one of the new features.
That is something no-one here can garantee you.
