Can I make a copy of a backup tape

I have backup tapes that I must 'give' to another organization, but we need to make a copy of the tape for ourselves first. Can this be accomplished?

You should be able to do an AuxCopy of the backup jobs that are on the tape to another tape.

Make a "new copy" on the storage policy, make it "synchronomous" and select the media agent, which is connected to your backup media.

don't forget to apply the retention time for this new copy. default is "infinite"
