Can I link img into recordset without increasing mdb size?

I want to build a database of pictures, but I hope to keep the mdb file as swall as possible. By using default "Insert" or 'link' ,the size of mdb file grows too big, is there a way to view pictures in Access by link without increasing the size???
because I want to use it for web site, it ease for uploading.... "Learn till the last breath."
