I'm indexing a catalog and I have 14 sections or chapters, I'm indexing them individually fine but I'd like to index the entire catalog, all 14 chapters into one master index. Is there an option for that?

Can I index an entire book, not just the chapters? 1

...i believe the book funstion will allow you to do this...
...to create a book choose file > new book, and then add your indesign documents to the palette, re-order them into sequence if necessary...
...when you choose generate index, turn on 'Include Book Documents'...
