Can I get data directly from the net.

Hello,

I am currently working on a personal project that uses a data file (.csv) which I download off the net and import using code.
Is it possible for me to automate the downloading of the file using access. i.e. I press a button on a form and it gets the file from the url and saves it to my pc in a predefined area. Then I can carry on running my import process.

I've never had to do anything like this before so I don't know if it's possible. Any ideas.

Do you download the file via FTP or HTTP? Either way, you can use the Microsoft Internet Access control in VBA to automate this procedure.
