Can I force a server based font before CF renders it in pdf format?

Can anyone tell me if there is a way to force a font that is installed on the server to be rendered correctly when cfoutput and cf document tags are used.

I have tried setting the font but it seems to default to a different format.

The font I am trying to use is avaiable in TT and Opentyoe formats.

Thanks for your help
