I want to make the Find and Replace options active on the Edit menu so they can be used while updating notes in an EditBox?

I have tried various things with Sysmenu and my own menus but the find amnd replace options are still disabled. Is there an easy way to enable them?

Kaz.

Hi Kaz,

If you have the system menu on, then CTRL+F should bring you the Find window box.

But the menu choice will show up only when it is relevant. SO for an edit box, this will be available.

Thanks. Forgot to mention, its OK from a FORM but I had to use an @ ... CLASS EDITBOX in my oWindow, and so the menu options are disabled again. If there a way to make SYSMENU options act as though it were on a form?

Another option would be to use MODI MEMO TABLENAME.memofield.

The Edit menu options would all be available to you, as would the print options, assuming you are using a derivative of the VFP menu.

The coordinates of the window will be saved assumimg you are using FOXUSER.dbf.

Thanks Chris. Unfortunately I can't use MODI MEMO. This application has to use Editbox to allow insertion of text from a popup by using Selstart, Seltext etc.

It would once have been so simple with modi memo and cut and paste.

There must be something in forms that uses sysmenu differently so I'm going to see if I can find that and apply the same thing to the window.
