I have several .fpd directories that at empty. I've read TID 10084008, so I get why they are are, but is it safe to delete them? Will they be recreated if needed?

I have a SOX audit coming up, so I am trying to keep everything as clean as possible.

Thanks

I think you are probably safe to delete them. but you might peruse them with the Salvage utility and see if there are any files in there that shouldn't have been deleted.

Under normal circumstances I don't think you should see a lot of those folders, so I assume you've had a problem with pool corruptions or something. Are you on NW6 or 6.5? NW6.0 had some NSS problems early on, so get up to at least SP4 so you have stable code. Then do a poolverify and make sure there are no problems. Do a poolrebuild if you have errors but make sure you have a good backup just in case it goes bad.
