can I add secure fields?

I am designing an intranet website for internal staff but want to add some pages that can only be accessed by some staff. is this possible and if so how?.

 
How secure do the files need to be? You could use asp and a login script, or put them in an obscure folder and only give the link to people who should have it.

I just need it secure enough to stop some users reading some pages / links to docs.

For example, the office junior should not really be able to view the managers performance review (well, thats what he says, I think it would be quite fair!).

you say use asp? please expland. Never heard of it.... :)
