Can DW MX 04 templates update behaviours? 1

I've built a .DWT template file in DW MX 04 that included a navigation bar that has rollovers and popups. The popups are javascript "behaviours" and I linked this template to new pages. I've tried to change the template and update the pages. This action causes many error messages from DW, some "js", some "trying to make changes to unsaved files"; when all files are saved. Results are either DW crashes, or worse, DW wipes the behaviour code from the pages that had it! Macromedia claims behaviours can't be updated in a template because it can't deal with the javascipt, anyone have any idea how this can be done automaticlly? Changing every page and every button is very time consuming!

Either use includes to call the whole js file into each page, or make sure the code is standard in each page and use find and replace on the source code.
