Can BE 8.6 work with a DDS-5 drive? 1

Rather than upgrading to 9.x & creating a problem backing up an old NetWare server, can BE 8.6 be tweaked to use an HP Storageworks 72Gb DAT drive? It's not on the Veritas HCL for 8.6, but perhaps there's a certain driver that will do the trick. Currently using an HP 40Gb drive, but need extra capacity. Thanks,

yOU can probably use it still, but you wont be able to use Veritas drivers with it.

that being said, if you can't see it in BE - then you can't do anything about that.

Eliminated all the Veritas drivers & after multiple reboots, BE8.6 recognizes the drive -- seems to work fine. Thanks!
