can anyone tell me how to block specific external e-mail address's. When i look on exchange server, it only gives me a list of all the mail accounts on the server, and doesnt allow me to manually imput external address's.
Exchange Administration, Connections, Internet Mail Service, Connections, and Message Filtering. You can block individual emails or whole domains by putting @domain.com
You will have to stop and restart the IMS for changes to take effect.
If you want to block just a specific address. Create a custom recipient with that SMTP address (add as many SMTP addresses for this recipient as you want to block.
In exchange administrator, go to Connectors, Internet mail service, Click on delivery restrictions tab. Add Custom recipient there. Be sure to stop and restart the IMS service for it to take affect.
