The web site is:
The traffic is suppost to move real time

I can get it to work in Windows XP but not Vista

I have Vista Home Premium and have tried both IE 7 and FireFox.

I have tried uninstalling/reinstalling Java 6, update3 a few times and it is no help.

It use to work before I had to rebuild.

Thanks for your help,
Debbie

No, not with Vista, even though I have Java. works fine with XP Pro

xit

No joy with Vista, working (the video is playing with I guess about a .5 second refresh) in XP but seems to be causing high CPU activity and response of mouse is jerky.

Very interesting. I even tested it with IE6 & IE7 in XP virtual machines (running under vista) with the same result. Whatever that Java applet is trying to do, it certainly seems to be on vista's no-no list.

I can get the Glacier Park and the Libby Montana cams to work OK but not consistently. Sometimes the camera moves after a couple of seconds, othertimes I have to reselect the cam for the change to take affect. The third site seems dead at the times I tried.

I'm using Vista SP1 RC1 with IE7 and Java 6.0.30.5

Is Java 6.0.30.5 the same as Java 6, update 3?

The lastest is could find on the 'Sun Microsystem' web site is Java 6.0.20.6 to be the latest.

About Java Technology says in the Java Console -

Java Plug-in 1.6.0_03
Using JRE version 1.6.0_03 Java HotSpot(TM) Client VM

Control Panel, Program and features says Java 6, update 3.

Not much luck with your Web Site, either, mainly get a static picture with one or two jerky movements if I'm lucky.

Yes. Java 6.0.30.5 is Java 6 with update 3.

(I'd like some of the snow over this side of the Atlantic please!)

It works for me. I am on Vista Ultimate with Java 2 Platform Standard Edition, 1.4.2_16 in Firefox 2.0.0.11.

Cheers
Rob

The answer is always "PEBKAC!

ArizonaGeek - thx so much
That did the trick

I uninstalled my Java and installed "Java 2 Platform Standard Edition, 1.4.2_16" and the web site works now in Vista.
