Can a common name can be displayed in the sendto field?

Need Help pls, whenever i create a new memo(for intranet users only)the send to field displays a name in full hierarchical format.(e.g. John_Smith/Mktg@acme.com). is there a way that only the common name can be displayed?(e.g. John Smith).

(Note: this memo are intended for the person listed on domino directory)

Yes, there is. sorry it took so long to get back to you.
this is my first time loging on to this site.

to get just the common name use the following command.

@Name([CN];fieldname) i.e. @Name([CN];Name)
