There should be no problem. You may simply have a corrupt document. Try uninstalling InDesign and reinstall 2.0. If it still does not open in 2.0, your document is screwed up.

Yes, it can only be opened with another, special pre-release version of InDesign. File formats often change during development, so documents must be migrated sometimes from release to release. Members of the official beta program had access to that pre-release version to do that conversion.
has anyone cracked this yet or found a app to do it. the same message comes up for files created in a pre-release version but surly there has been somthing to convert the files .
