I am trying to set up 911 support for my users and need to use the CAMA trunk database in my G3. Does anyone know how I can get this done? The servicing C.O cannot give me PRI's so I will need to set up a seperate database to give the 911 center the user CID and Name/Location many of my users are not on site so I will have different locations. I called my local 911 center and they had no clue....Thanks...Frank
 
We had the same issue, with the CO side. It had something to do with CID and the DMS 100 Switch.

What we did was:

Set up new CO trunk group with 4 CO Lines.

Set up a route pattern to dial out over the "911" trunk group.

Set up ars so 911 would go to the new route pattern. worked like a champ.

I went to an InAAU (InDUG) meeting on 911 given by a guy from Arizona State University and he had a TON of info for using cama trunks. After the class my head was hurting and I was glad we figured out an easy way to do the 911 thing, but he must have been an expert on the subject he knew everything.

I have many remote sites that are connected to my G3. My local Bell cannot provide caller I.D on the lines since they do not have PRI's yet. I am using C.O. trunks on a T-1 span. Can I use my CAMA database in my G3 and direct them to the C.O trunks I am using to send my 911 ANI and ALI to the PSAP? Will this over ride the Caller ID profile the Bell has setup on my Trunk Group?,or do I need seperate Trunks to the 911 switch? If anyone has set up CAMA info on the G3 I would like to know how to fill in the info....Frank
