Hello everyone,

I know this is probably a stupid question but what does the number of CALs limit in terms of usage? I know that it limits the number of Terminal Services running at once, but does it limit the number of web clients to a web server, FTP server, etc?
I've been searching around and can't find a clear answer to the question so I thought I'd ask the experts.

Thanks,
Burke

Cals count for clients connecting to shares on a server over a LAN and i think via RAS. Web connections to IIS to use web services like FTP do not need a CAL.
