Hello, I hope you can help me with my problem.
I have an analog phone line connected to TN 1 3:
TN 001 0 00 03
TYPE COT

The problem that I have is that when I dial the number to get to the PBX, extension 6251 where the call should be autoterminated never ring!

In the TN 1 4, I have another COT Trunk that it's working normally:
TN 001 0 00 04

I cannot see any difference between both TNs configurations. I already checked line connected to TN 1 3 with a phone and it rings if I dial the number. What can I check? Both lines belongs to route 11 with ACOD 9. I'm able to take TN 1 3 with the 9 but cannot receive a call from it.

Just another quick question, why in the next TN. NITE does not appear and ATDN is displayed instead of NITE?

Thanks in advance for your help. I'm new with Meridian systems.

your RDB for route 100 is auto=yes - that is why you get the atdn prompt. As far as the other line not ringing maybe a bad card or not jumpered correctly.

in route, 11. the prompt auto is=to no. in route 100 it is=to yes.. if your switch is in nights the night answer should ring. don't know way you have the trunk 1 5 set to dip (dial pulse) when you call the number assigned to 1 3, do a trac in load 80 and see what it's doing. if you are not getting ring from the co, that's your problem. is your switch in night? do you have a console? another fast test is to connect a but set (or analog phone) to that tn and see if you can answer it direct on the cable pair from the co. even if it shows idle on a trace, you don't know if the port may be bad without testing the analog trunk. the software looks the same. i recogmend making the route auto. you do have to out the trunks to do that, then put them back in.. out them in 14 change the route in 16 and put them back in. the route prints in 21..

Thanks for your replies. I think that the problem is the card because when I dial the number in TN 1 3, in LD 32 STAT 1 it displayed as IDLE. I'm sure it's jumpered correctly because I can take that line with the 9. Besides I already connected an analog phone to that line and it rings.

Thanks John Poole for your reply.....How can I know if the switch is in night mode?

prt a route and look at the idc prompt. their will be a * beside the didc or nidc (day and night idc) if you don't have tie or did routes, that doesn't work. if you don't have a console, your in nights
