calls rings

i have a customer with compact cis and cp 100, calls go directly to AA, customer press 1 for sales, i set up 1 to go to ext (eg 235 with no phone) i assign answer DN on different users for ext 235 so all users get the sales calls, yet when people press 1 it rings back again on the line and not the answer DN button, i tried this with a hunt group and same problem, any suggestion on this
 
when i call ext 235 internally it does rings on the answer DN button yet when call coming through the voice mail it rings only on the line and not the answer DN,ATA is not an option because they have 4 numbers with this set up and money is the factor here
 
I assume the co lines appear on the phone sets. If the CO lines appear on the set, that is where the ring will appear on answer DN and hunt group. Remove the line appearances and the transfers will appear on the Ans DN or hunt group. Of course, they will have to start transferring or parking calls instead of paging pick up line 1, 2, etc. You will also have to pool the lines for outbound.

i did the hunt group set up, yet when some press 1 it rings back on the line and not the HG buttons the same way as the answer DN
 
As bmccaw said, if there's a line button on the phone, the system will try to use that first. Remove the line appearance from the set and test again.
 
if i move the lines apperance then they need to dial 9 to call out...right?
