We have an 800 #, and several direct dial #'s configured on our Definity Switch, and recently callers coming in from the outside have been complaining of calls routing to the wrong extension or not going through at all. Also we are having internal problems as well. Sometimes when users dial the extension for audix voicemail they may get another extension or the attendant. Does any one know what commands would be most useful for determining where the problem lies, or any other suggestions for resolving this.

Sounds like the TTR's, check your alarms for touch tone errors and test your tone board, have you added anything that will use DTMF that may be using up all the TTR's?

A few years ago I had a simmilar problem that was traced to software corruption and Avaya (Lucent at the time) had to fix it.

Has the switch been up for a long time? If so a "reset system 4" (not during office hours of course) might help. I've seen systems that have been up for more than a year (or two) without problems, but on rare occasions weird behaveour disappeared after a reset or power down (and power up again, don't forget that last step :)).

Might be the easiest thing to try before escalating the problem or digging into TTR's.

Cheers,
Nico
