I have a new one, for me at least. On a MICS 6.0 XC, when callers are transfered from Auto Attendant via the "#" dial-by-name directory, calls go directly to Voice Mail box without ringing the phone. The Voice Mail is NAM 4.1 and there is another NAM for Cinphony ACD. I'm not aware of any settings that would cause or stop this. Any ideas?

gutwrench,
Did you try setting the forward no answer delay up to 4 rings. It maybe already defaulted to 4 rings before going to voicemail. It is under capabilities for the set. May as well start with the easy stuff first. Also check forward on busy.

Dmac,
Thank you for your post. Yeah, I checked the easy stuff already. FNA is set to 4 rings, FOB to none and there are at least two intercom paths on the sets. I should have said, voice mail settings.. I recently reprogrammed this switch rom the ground up, so uncommonly used settings are default where I expect them to behave consistanly. Thanks again.

Hello all,

More info: It appears that calls are not transfered at all. After making selection from "#" directory, callers hear a tone as if to leave a message, but no message is recorded to deliver. Obviously, if the message never gets to the box, there will be no notification. Any thoughts?

Thanks,
GW

It sounds to me that your customer is using a mailbox to answer their calls and not the Auto Attd. YOu can check this by calling the main numer and hit ** and see what you get if you get please enter password then you customer is configured incorrectly. We like to call this creative programming or mickey mouse fixes. Make sure the customer is using an AA and not a mailbox as the front line.

Thanks for the input. Problem solved. Users had multiple Mboxes. Messages were being delivered to abandonned boxes rather than the one in use.
