Calls coming through speaker on 1140e

i have an issue with inbound calls coming through the speaker on a few of our 1140e's using firmware C4. I am trying to find a way to make it stop. right now the agents just hit the hold button, then key 0 to bring the caller back on to correct the issue. I am running succession 5.5 with CCM6.0. any input would be wonderful. I cannot use the factory reset since i am still on an older version of firmware (working on fixing that). The calls only hit the speaker on inbound ACD calls. station to station calls go directly to the headset.
 
yea. i wish it was that easy. i have all of my agent phones set up as HFD to prevent it but obviously it doesn't work. I have been able to duplicate the problem on my test phone. just cannot fix it. Much easier to create the issue. :)
 
I would upgrade to the latest firmware and test to see if the problem happens then. I have ran C6J,C6O and C6R and have not had the problem you are speaking of.

We usually test the firmware on a couple phones first and then do a mass roll out to stay current. I believe this is why we haven't had many issues with our IP phones.
 
If works OK on some 1140E and not on others, then is more likely a configuration issue than a firmware issue. Do a item-by-item comparison of the configuration on the CS 1000, the configuration on the CCM, and the settings (single press of service key) on the 1140E.
