Calls being dropped

What woud cause phone calls to be dropped every so often?
One of our 8 lines at one of our locations drops calls every now and again.

You would be talking away and the line goes dead.

Any idea of what I could check?

Buy the sound of it i'm guessing your running a mics or a cics. Try taking the system down and swapping the two trk cards.(provided they are the same type) then power it back up. If the line that was dropping calls is now on a different line thats one big clue, if not call your local telco. One other possible I can think of now is, the back plane of the ksu. (check for proper connection and any cracks or obvious damage,fom the cards not being seated properly). That one is a long shot.
