I don't think there is a way around this, but I will ask.

CallPilot has the capability to notify callers if a person is on the phone. However, all of my employees have a 2nd line for rollover. Because of this, calls are almost always call forward no answer to voicemail rather than call forward busy. So, the feature doesn't work the way I am configured.

Is there a way around this without removing the 2nd lines?

Thanks..

Change the LHK to 0 then if user is on line it will go directly to voicemail.

not if you want to use the 2nd line for incomong roll over. if the call hunts then forwards, try cfta call forward by type allowed and sfa secondary forwarding allowed. i haven't tried to force mail to answer via call type, but if it can happen, those two might make a diff

We have the same problem here. All of us in IT have 2 appearances of our DN, so callers don't get the "<name> is on the phone" and think we're ignoring them.

If you get this figured out, please post how! I'd love to get this taken care of on our system too!

Thanks,
Matt

Change the LHK to 0. If LHK is 1 then calls will only hunt, if 0 and 1 are busy. If you change CLS CFTA and SFA this will still ring on key 1 and then go to voicemail on forward no answer. By the sound of it they do not want to answer the second line anyway. Also if using Callpilot check the mailbox class of service to insure that "notify caller of busy line" is checked. If user have Desktop Messaging they can listen to message while still on key 0.

I do still want the hunting to Key 1, though. For example, I may be on a call on key 0, but a call comes in on key 1 that I need to take. All good. But if I'm on Key 0 and a call comes in on key 1 that can wait, I still want that person to know that I'm on the phone and not just ignoring them.

Oh just forget that, i just tried with acd, nacd and you cannot route call to a phone number
