I think I've done this in the past -- but I'm darned if I remember how.

We have a CallPilot 100, version 02.00.47.00, with Auto-Attendant and two CCR trees. One tree is for business hours, the other for non-business hours. The CallPilot is smart about shifting between the two trees according to the clock, BUT we also want to make it switch between answering after 4 rings during the day and answering immediately during non-business hours.

Unfortunately I can't figure out how to do it. Is it just impossible? I've set up Night Service with the VM's DN in the ringing group, but it hasn't made a difference, nor have the Operator Settings on the web control page.

Your lines are probably in ring grp 1 for day and has the reception dn assigned to it. Assign only vm dn to ring grp 2 and assign lines to ring grp 2. Assign ring grp to to nite service.

Thanks for your help, both of you.

Actually, each incoming line appears & rings on each set (it's a real small outfit), so no need for a daytime ringing service.

I had already set up the [night] ringing service like this:
Ring Grp 02:
DN 235 (the vmail system)
Schedule:
Night: Auto; Trunk Answer: Y; ExtraDial: None;
Line Settings:
Line 001: RngGrp: 02; Aux Ringer: N;
Line 002: RngGrp: 02; Aux Ringer: N
Eve: (same)

But here's the thing I left out:
Common settings:
Control Sets:
For lines:
Line 001: *221* (it was some random set)
Line 002: *221*

Apparently, without that last step, DN 221 couldn't tell the Ringing Service to answer those lines.

Actually ... using the "Auto" schedule, DN 221 isn't doing anything but displaying *SERVICES ON.
The control set just needs to be an active set on the system. Typically I'll use the switch room or lunch room phone when I'm setting up a schedule for Auto so it doesn't interfere with a users display.

Now, if you set the schedule for Manual, then the control set would be used to activate/deactivate the service using a feature code.

Glad you got it working!
