Is it possible to save a shortcut (or other type of link) on your desktop, that when executed, will call or transfer/conf a predetermined party? Utilizing a IP client of course...

For example: Ext 1234 recieves a call that needs to conference another agent and give a portion of info. Then call and conf another agent and possible a third. The original Agent needs to stay on the line and connect each Agent with the call in order for the customer to relay all their info. It is part of a "White Glove" treatment for a select few customers that deal with multiple departments.

In the future everything will work...

NX01,

it depends on what ip agent version you're using. in r5+ i recall there were some enhancements on the cti side, including 'click-to-dial' feature. now the main release is r6, here is a quote from its description:
"It incorporates enterprise Instant Messaging, provides a screen pop of customer-contextual data, interoperates with Internet Explorer and Outlook to provide click-to-dial, and enhances DCP and IP telephones, (including Callmaster IV and V terminals) by its ability to operate in shared control mode."
i guess using ip agent would be the most economically effective way for you. though if you have some plans for future massive use of cti applications, i'd suggest to take a look at more advanced cti platforms and solutions. ip agent is just basic, no more.
