Calling numbers with extension

Thank you in advance for any help you can offer.

Let me say first that I know this is not specifically an Avaya question, but you all seem to be the ones with the answers!

We use Avaya Phone Manager. I have my bosses Outlook 2003 setup to use TAPI to make calls. It works EXCEPT on numbers with extensions. Just doesnt make the call.

Is there a way to dial contacts from Outlook that have extensions?

Numbers like 555-555-5555 x1234.

When I try to call such numbers now,the call is dropped. I've also tried putting the extension in other formats (comma, ext, x, etc).

Do not use anything else but numbers !!!

So no - , . or other characters !
