Calling an extension that's forwarded not working 4

Hello all,

Not sure if any of you have come across this or not. I have a customer running R11.0.4.4.0B6 with SIP trunks and a combination of 95XX and 14XX series digital phones. They are fully Automated. When you call from outside and dial a persons extension that is forwarded (or twinned)to their cell phone the call goes through with out a hitch. But, if you try and call that same person from inside the caller gets "waiting for line". I have even tried to force the calls to dial the extension by adding short codes to dial extension.

I thought this was an issue with the service provider originally but they have since changed providers. The issue want away for a short period of time but is now back. Any ideas?

Does it work if you call the extension not the DID#?

they are only calling the extension. there are not personal DIDs.

System Monitor is your friend, what does it show when dialing the extension internally?

Caller ID
outgoing will try and show the extension number and the provider will block it as regulations require full 10 digit number

The caller ID being sent is the cell phone number the extension is forwarding to. Below is the Monitor capture for the call. Does not matter what change i make it fails.
Calling from extension 150 to ext 129 (forwarded to a cell phone).

I am pretty sure Westi has the right answer. When you dial the extension internally it is trying to pass the callerID from the originator which in this case would be the extension number. The SIP trunk is most likely rejecting that. You should be able to see that the extension number is set as callerID in a monitor trace.

The truth is just an excuse for lack of imagination.

It's sending 150 as CLI, you need to put a valid CLI in the users SIP tab.

Provided you are using internal data on the SIP URI then janni78's suggestion to put a correct CLI in the SIP tab should fix the issue.

The truth is just an excuse for lack of imagination.

Thanks all. Had to change the SIP tab for each user to show the main phone numbers of each company. Works perfect now.
