I found CLCOB8 and CIDU8 on it and installed. I have 4 analog lines (1 to 4 on CLCOB8) for external. Now I wanna provide Caller ID feature to the internal stations from 100 to 180. Before I call the phone company and ask caller id option I wanna make sure if my settings are ready. Could you help me through the settings please? Please refer the screenshot below.

There are two ways to obtain the CID - Caller-ID on analogue lines. One way is DTMF (like Denmark) and the other is FSK (frequency shift keying). From your CO line operator, you need to know what type DTMF or FSK that is delivered.
Hereafter the settings Can be made in the ipLDK.

I found out that Telstra using FSK so how I should configure it?

If you search in the forum for FSK, you Will find the description on howb to do it. I have written the step by step description.
The thread number posted earlier is wrong.

I found that article after your last message. I initialized and resetted all settings on the CIDU tab. I set the CID Usage to ON and rest of the settings are default (CID Name Display-telephone Number, Serial Port-Not Assigned, CIDU Map Seetings-Not Assigned, CIDU Type Usage-OFF)
I still cannot see the caller id. Is there any settings that I need to check?
Thanks

This is according to the manual

Analog Caller ID Service
Description
According to the caller ID standard specification of Bellcore Lab, LDK-300 can support the analog caller ID service. This is the similar to the ISDN CLI service. To use this service, additional external device that is called CIDU(Caller ID Device Unit) is required.

Operation
Similar to ISDN CLI service.

Admin Programming
 CLIP LCD Display (PGM114-BTN1)
 CLI Message Wait (PGM114-BTN4)
 Speed Dial Name Display instead CLI (PGM114-BTN11)
 ISDN CLI Station Number (PGM114-BTN12)
 CIDU Setting (PGM185)
 Incoming Prefix Code Insertion (PGM200-BTN3)
 International Access Code (PGM200-BTN7)
 My Area Code (PGM200-BTN9)
 Area Prefix Code (PGM200-BTN10)

Condition
1. Analog CO line must support the caller ID standard specification of Bellcore Lab.
2. CIDU hardware is required. It must be compatible with LDK-300.
3. Other condition is similar to ISDN CLI service.

Description
This ADMIN program set the port connected to CIDU hardware device.
* Note: This ADMIN program is only needed, when the external CIDU hardware device is installed.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

CID/CO Line Port Mapping -> Select the lines that should use Callers ID.
Description
When external CID equipment is used, this program set CID port and the analog CO line port
mapping. This is no need when LCOB with optional CID detection board is used
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
CID type • Usage -> set to type 1 - FSK (Type 2 is DTMF)
This is available in IP LDK-300, CID type 1 and 2 is serviced.

I followed instructions step by step. I also tried Usage Type 2 jyst in case but with some reason I cannot see the Caller IDs :(

BTW despite I am using analog lines with CLCOB8+CIDU8, is still relevant to use ISDN settings?

If you can listen to "what happpens before the Phone rings" with a line amplifier , connected to the phone line, then you could hear the FSK tones.
I guess that these FSK tones are not sent to you.

If possible keep the ISDN settings since CID in the ipLDK/Aria is based on this signaling.

It may also be worthwhile to connect a caller ID capable analogue phone to the line to ensure it is actually being sent.

I have had no problems with CID on analogue. We do only have two line providers here though. SIP not included naturally.

Hi,

I did like you said and analogue phone showed the caller id sucessfully. That means we have something to do with the pbx system.

According to screenshot below, is there anything to correct?
n6xk.png

Have you mapped the CIDU ports to the trunks?

PGM 185

Button 1 = on

Button 2 = telephone no

Button 3 = N/A

Button 4 = set 0-1 , 1-2 , 2-3, 3-4. ( This assigns CLID ports to trunk ports so could be 1-1,2-2,3-3,4-4 if you like )

Hi,

After your message I mapped the CIDU ports as you have described. Still no caller ID :( All I can see is "Hunt Ringing" since the beginning. Is there any other place to check the settings?

Unfortunately I believe if your calls go to a hunt group, the CLI will not display until the call is answered.

Reprogram the CO lines to ring an individual extn and see if the CLI is presented.
