The inbound callers number to a phone with call forwarding or EC500 activated is used as the outbound caller ID. If a customer calls my office phone which is call forwarded to my cellular device, the customers number is used as outbound caller ID. I cannot override the calling party's number using the public-unknown-number table. I also have the option "SA8983 - Replace CPN when calls forwarded off-net" set to on but am still unable to override. Our teleco vendor, Verizon, must recognize the outbound number or the call is rejected. I was told there are options in the SIP envirnment but we are not SIP. We are at Communication Manager 6. Is there a different option to force the caller ID override?

Ask Verizon for this.

CUSTOMER REQUEST TO MODIFY CALLING PARTY NUMBER
Routing Code: 5V

Thanks for the input but I inquired my Verizon contact and was told they do not offer that option. They offer an unscreened ANI option but it requires a diversion header. From what I found, the diversion header is only available if we were a SIP shop.

Its a verizon feature so its odd that they told you its not an option. I just ordered it a few months ago from Verizon. You have ISDN PRI, correct?

It is actually an MPLS/Private IP. The Verizon router changes the signal to a PRI handoff.

ugghh, forget it then, I don't know....Buy a real PRI is all I can suggest. Good luck.
