I have an IPO running 4.2(4) with Voicemail Pro running 4.2(19). I have outcalling setup and working fine. The problem I am having is with the number which is being sent out from voicemail pro when it makes an outcalling attempt. It is only sending the area code. The IP Office is set to send (area code)-nnn-(ext. number). This works fine for all normal calls. any thoughts?

Where is the system pick up the caller ID from going out. is it in the incoming call route or the ARS?

It is set in ARS.

N; --> Nsi586464E --> Dial3K1
1N; --> 1Nsi586464E --> Dial3K1
etc...

The E does not work in this release
It is fixed in the next release

It seems to be working in this release because when I make a call out from an extension on the system it sends out the appropraite caller id information which includes the users extension (DID) number. The only time there is a problem is when voicemail pro performs outcalling when a user receives a new message.

And when Voicemail Pro makes a call what extension would you assume it is going to use to populate the "E"?

kholladay - I think that is exactly the answer I am looking for.... How do I control what Voicemail Pro is populating as the "E"... Maybe my only option is to send the main number for all outbound calls system wide... I just thought that I would take a shot and see if anyone else had ever run into this issue. It would seem to me that there would have to be a way wround this though.....

You don't in that it is the system dialing out and not a user there is no extension to associate to the E. Perhaps you may want to create another system short code of say 8N Dial Nsi5864640000 (replace 0000 with whatever DID you choose). Then use 8 for your outcalling numbers instead of 9.

I agree with kholladay

you may also need to use a seperate ARS that does not send CID info.

That's a good idea kholladay.... I'll give it a shot. thanks for the suggestion.

I hate to use up 8 like that but you can't use * or # in your outcalling number so you're pretty much stuck with using 1-8.
