ok here is a good one: Nortel option 11

here is the problem-we have ext. 5275 rings out as 5275 however we would like it to only ring out 5200 (we would like it that all the ext. ring out 5200)
also is this something we would need to check with the phone company?

no, you can do that from your switch, ld 21 prt clid, you may just have a single entry or several, if you have an entry for 5200, just apply that to the set, if not add one then add it

in my switch i use entry 1 for a dept number simlar to 5200, so on a set

ld 11
chg
2616 (any type of set)
x x x x (tn)
echg yep
key 0 scr 5275 1
return back to request, that sends clid 1 pt the network

Hi John: This was misworded, sorry. What the customer wants is for all phones to have the main phone number show up on caller I.D. when making an outgoing calls. Right now it is showing the actual line from that extension. Thanks John.

Use the same approach for CLID entry 0. This is the default that is usually built for each extension by itself. You can edit it to send only the number the customer wants, then make sure each extension has CLID entry 0 on it.

Use LD 15 under the NET prompt.

Code:
.
CLID YES
.
ENTRY 0
HNTN XXX (Use this for the area code)
HLCL YYYYYYY (Use this for the main number)
DIDN NO
.

Now every phone that has 0 on it will send out the number you defined in CLID entry 0.

Hope this helps,

Scott M.
