Call Waiting getting Turned off

Does anyone have a problem with Call Waiting geting turned off? We have a customer with a 406v2 and 3.0(44) software. All of their incoming call go to the main hunt group which has one member with 6 call appearance buttons and is programmed for group ringing. Call witing is turned on on both the hunt group and the user. Everything works great except once or twice a day if the attendant is on the phone all other calls cover immediately to the auto attendant. When you check it the call waiting has been turned off on the station. We have changed the default short codes to ensure that someone is not accidentally turning it off and that hasn't helped any suggestions?
 
If you are using Soft Console be sure under the Telephony tab that you have Call Waiting turned on. If not when soft console starts it appears to change the setting in the system.
 
Call waiting not supported on handsets when using call apperance.......

As MrIPO says, you can't have call waiting on if you are using call appearances. Even the engineers from Avaya don't like this about call appearances.

I have heard that Avaya will be making some changes to this in 3.2, although this is not due until late next year.
