Hello all,
The Customer is a care home. Residents have a phone with a speed call button for emergencies. The emergency button is a vdn. An announcement indicates "for emergencies press 0". At night the call is routed to an extension (analog cordless with call waiting allowed.
If the extension is in use, the second call to the vdn goes nowhere. A second call direct to the extension gets the call waiting alert.
Is there something I'm missing in the vector/vdn to allow calls to the vdn to provide a call waiting alert?
Thanx

YewNork,

please post the vector here. i strongly suspect that you're using 'route-to number with coverage n' command where the coverage should be yes.

Thanx dwalin, that did it. But why? The target station has no coverage path...
Thanx again.

YewNork,

this is normal behaviour of route-to command. 'route-to with coverage n' tries to deliver call to destination, if it is busy it fails and vector continues processing at the next step.
i'd recommend you to take a look at this document, there's a chapter that describes route-to command work flow.
