Ok this is a pretty good question I think. I have three G3's in a DCS environment. But my problem is that the two remote sites can transfer a call to an outside line and when the call goes out it goes out across my ld T1. I have checked the trunk to trunk transfer on all the switches and it is set to none. The cos for the phones does not provide for overide of the trunk to trunk transfer and no call forward off net. But the users can still transfer calls to an outside line. Thanks for any help.

Try changing your T2T xfer to restricted.

from ASA help function
Trunk-to-Trunk Transfer field

Use this field to enable phone users to set up trunk-to-trunk transfers, go on-hook without disconnecting a call, and forward a call to a remote location.

· Enter all to enable all trunk-to-trunk transfers.
· Enter restricted to restrict all public trunks. Public trunks are CO, WATS, FX, CPE, DID, and DIOD.
· Enter none to restrict all trunks, except CAS and DCS, from being transferred. This is the default.

Note:

Some countries have regulations that control the settings for this field. If you have any questions, see your Avaya representative for assistance.

The setting was restricted and I changed it to none to try and block this

probably the next thing I would try the is to have the trunk COR set so the trunks cannot call each other. Although I dont know why the T2T setting didnt solve this. Sounds like you got everything right.

TechVol, how are the calls that are being transfered coming in? Also, what are you looking to accomplish? Do you want to send the calls across the tie lines?

Hate to bring this back up again but....
We are still having a problem in that calls are able to be transfered off the net from our remote sites but the going out across the ld line was fixed by removing the pfx mark on the route pattern of the local calls from remote sites.
