The trace logs can go pretty much back in time.
We have often used it for costumers that complained over that their message lamps did not switch off, af they had emptied their mailbox. The lamp was only switched off when you entered 99 af ther listenin to all your messages.
So try the @L T 1 command and start up a log file in hyperterminal. Often we downloaded one megabyte at 9.6k to proove that it wasn´t our fault!

It does depend on how busy the system is as there is a limited amount of buffer memory. If you run the command as specified by doktor without any date & time entered then it will start at the beginning of the log, i.e as far back as it can. As the buffer is filled than it will overwrite itself.
