Call Timer issues with M3904

I know this topic has been touch upon here ->

but there was no real resolution. What we've discovered is that as long as you use key 0, the call timer will work. Use any other key, the phone will only display the current date and time. We've tried flashing the phones (089) and that didn't seem to help either.

Does anyone know if there is any fix or newer firmware than 089 that address the call timer issue?

what rls are you on? nortel had said that they would address that in rls 5.. but i read the whats new in rls 5 publication without seeing it... it will be a rls issue, they did not write a patch and it's not addressed in the software

is it an acd phone? once you make the phone acd, only key 0 will show the timer.

This was first brought to our attention while we are swapping out 2008 phones with 3904. A few of the agents were telling me that since they got the 3904, the timer no longer works. I do not have an ACD phone but I have been using a 3904 for well over a year now. The timer has always worked for me. After some trial and error, I have confirmed that the timer will only work on key 0 on both ACD and non-ACD phones. I normally use key 0 so I never noticed the issue before. The agents have their own personal extension on key 3 so the timer does not show up when they are using their own extension.

I have a little more info on this topic. We still have some 2008's (ACD and Non-ACD). So I thought I check and see how the timer works on those. I've tried several and the results are identical to the 3904. Key 0 will only show the timer while any other key will not. I've talked to one of the agents that brought this up and he still tells me that it was working before. I have yet to find a a 2008 phone that does what he says.

So with this info, it almost looks like the timer is only tied to the PDN key (key 0).

Weird.
