Good day all,
I have a Definity G3, and am having trouble routing calls. I can't seem to figure out how to route the calls in the situation below without using two cover paths back-to-back, which is not allowed.

Here's what I'm trying to do:
Call comes into DID number. Call goes into Vector to determine if it is during business hours. If not during business hours, calls is transfered to x-port station Z for voicemail. If it is during business hours, calls routes to StationA, if unanswered goes to Cover Answer Group 1, and if is unanswered, goes to x-port station Z for voicemail.

I've been trying to use hunt groups and cover paths, but can't get it to work without having back to back covers.

Thanks for your help,

You can use Time-of-Day coverage to do what you want. TOD coverage was first introduced in V7 (I think).

You can definately use TOD cover paths. The command would be...

add cover time next.

From there, you enter in the time periods and put in each of the cover paths that you use during that specific time.

You assign a TOD cover path to a station by putting a t in front of it. If you added Time of Day Cover Path 1, then the cover path would be "t1".

Also, here's another solution, just for more options...

If your hunt group is an Intuity, then you can do the following.

Add a VDN that runs a vector.

The vector would have 1 line that says:
01 messaging skill 99 for extension zzzz
02 stop

skill 99 is your voicemail hunt group.
zzzz is your voicemail extension.

Change your 2nd cover path to ring the cover answer group, and then ring the VDN.

Point 1: c1 Point 2: v1001

That should do it.

The time of day routing, I have down.

Where I need help is in the "hunting". Currently, the calls from my vecor go to a Hunt Group with no members. The hunt group has cover path of 50. Cover path 50 rings on one user, then a second user, as it should. If the second user does not answer, I want the call to go to the voicemail account 1001, which is not the number of either users above or the hunt group.

I have found that a cover path can send to a vector (v1234), and a vector could send the calls to 1001, but I can not have both cover paths active at the same time.

FYI, we are using Definity Audix.
