Just installed CP 3.0 and was wondering if there is a way to limit a user to reset passwords only. I have a large amount of Voicemail users and I am delegating a Helpdesk to reset user passwords, but I do not want them to have any other privledges like adding users or changing the config. I have changed some of the adminstrators settings for their mailbox but I have had no luck. Any help would be great!

I have my Helpdesk setup to default passwords as well as be able to perform basic mailbox admin.

To accomplish this, I had to select "User with Some Admin Rights" from the drop down list in the user's mailbox profile and then check "User Administration" and "Outcalling Administration".

This will limit your Helpdesk staff from getting into any trouble by going into anything other than daily mailbox admin. I have found no way of limiting access to resetting passwords only. The best I could do is limit a user to resetting passwords as well as basic mailbox admin.

Hope that helps.

I tried the directions posted here but I keep running into the following error:

Error: Getting Config State of the CallPilot Server
Error Code: 35808, (null)

Any help on this would be great. Thanks.

Michele

Had the same problem. It has to do with the admin rights in the class of service config. Full admin will not get that error code, but once you uncheck some of the priviledges it gives that error, could not figure it out so I just gave them full admin rights.
