We recently, Nov 04, installed Call Pilot. We have a problem with ports and no answers. We have restarted the system 2 times and it seems to fix it for a week or two. Is this a known problem?

did you load the patches for call pilot on the server?

Northern looked at it and said everything was there. Do you know of a specific patch?

There is a new patch for the 1002rp server running 2.02 (2.01.27). It is in soak phase and not generally available yet, but Nortel will install it for you if you are having the problem. Here is the ReadMe file.

This package contains:

1. PEP Number: CP202S03G33S

2. Problem Description:
=======================
Q01058368 and Q01074485:
A potential problem has been identified within the CallPilot Telephony
Service that, if experienced, may result in a Ring-No-Answer condition
requiring additional system maintenance to be performed.

CallPilot uses the Telephony Service (TSP) to control the communication
between the M1 PBX and the CallPilot. Under some call transfer scenarios,
the Telephony Service may experience memory corruption. If the CallPilot
system is logging events 42803 in the system event log file, callers may
experience a Ring-No-Answer condition.

Note: If event 42803 persists after applying this PEP, please contact your
next level of support.

Q01011396:
A potential problem has been identified within SCCS - CallPilot integration
that, if experienced, may result in lost ports on the CallPilot due to phantom
calls. The phantom calls are identified by event 43009 in the system event log.

The event 43009 will still appear under heavy load after applying this PEP,
but ports should no longer be in a locked out state.

3. List of CRs that are addressed by this PEP:
===============================================

Q01058368 RNA with Fatal Exception 42803 worktype 6
Q01074485 RNA with Fatal Exception 42803 worktype 17
Q01011396 SCCS-CP integration - phantom calls on CallPilot site

Installing the PEP:
===================
This PEP is intended to be installed on CallPilot Server
with CallPilot 02.01.27.05 and Service Update 3 (CP20127SU03S).

This PEP replaces the following:
--------------------------------

- CP202S03G19S
- CP202S03G25S

The replaced PEPs will be automatically uninstalled when CP202S03G33S is installed.

Warning:
--------
This PEP uninstalls the following restricted PEPs:

- CP202S03R08S
- CP202S03R21S
- CP202S03R31S
- CP202S03R34S

Do not install PEP CP202S03G33S if CP202S03R08S, CP202S03R21S, CP202S03R31S
or CP202S03R34S are currently installed.
For systems that currently has CP202S03R08S or CP202S03R21S or CP202S03R31S
installed, install restricted PEP CP202S03R34S.

CP202S03G33S is not a replacement for CP202S03R08S, CP202S03R21S, CP202S03R31S
or CP202S03R34S, but an incremental update to CP202S03G25S.

To install the PEP:
-------------------
- Launch the runme.exe to start the installation of the PEP.
The runme executable can be found in the PEP's root directory.
- Reboot is required after installation.

Note:
Some dialogue boxes may appear during the replacement of obsolete PEPs
currently on the system.
They can safety be ignored. Please click OK to continue.

Uninstall:
==========
Go to Start>Programs>CallPilot>System Utilities>PEP Maintenance
Utility. Click Show PEPs. Select CP202S03G33S, and click Remove.
