Call Pilot removes local area code and inserts a 9?

Where can I look in Call Pilot to see why it is removing the caller's (CLID) area code and inserting a 9 in front of the rest of the 7 digit number.

I want to set up outdial (call the sender) but local calls CLID is being captured differently than CLID outside of our local area code. And why the 9 in front?

Example - assuming local area code is 212

"Message 1 from 95551212" if call was from area code 212

"Message 2 from 4145551212" if the call was from outside 212 area code

on your local route (prt in ld 21) does it say DAPC yes?

OK, I printed it out DAPC is NO. What is DAPC? Sorry, I've only been to Admin class, hopefully Install class next month.

you can use it to put a 9 on calls for call logs on sets so you don't have to edit to dial back a stored number, thought it might be throwing the 9 on for you, but if it is no, not the problem.

in configuration wizard where it asks for country code and area code. remove the area code entry.

Thanks Wane, I will check in a little bit but will this also cause confusion for Call Pilot calling local versus long distance? I would even leave it 7 digits if Call Pilot would "call sender" and re-insert the area code for local calls.
We are 10 digit dialing for local dialing.

What I can't figure is why Call Pilot inserts a 9 before the 7 digit number.

Wane, that did it, kind of...

In Messaging/Dialing Information I removed our local area code entry but then Call Pilot considered all local area code CLID as long distance and played back "Message 1 from 9,1,212-XXX-XXXX".

Not a big deal but I removed the long distance prefix 1, used to be 91, changed it to just 9. This will impact 'call sender' to long distance numbers but I'll live with that for now.

So, local call messages play back as "Message 1 from 9,212-XXX-XXXX and I setup Local RPL for Call Sender and it works.

I'm assuming long distance CLIDs will be captured the same with the long distance prefix set to just 9.

Still have to work on this but at least I got the 9 + 7 digits and Call Sender working.

Another issue is Call Pilot not recognizing non-mailbox owners 5 digit extensions as an outside number, plays back "Message 1 from 9,7XXXX".

Doesn't Call Pilot recognize on-switch extensions as just extensions? I could possibly see confusion on a 7 digit extension number, but 5 digit extensions?

Sorry, I forgot to add, can't I get rid of "9" being played back from all outside calls and just have Call Pilot re-insert it if someone wants to Call Sender?
