How do you determine the Call Manager release one is running? Is there a matrix that correlates to software release?

If you mean Communications Manager:

Log in using ASA. At the command prompt type 'newterm' the system will respond with the software load. For example:

R011r.03.2.536.1 = CM 1.3
R012x.02.0.111.4 = CM 2.2
R013x.01.4.642.1 = CM 3.1
R014x.00.3.737.4 = CM 4.0
R015x.01.2.416.4 = CM 5.0

Thanks for the information. And, yes I meant Communications Manager, not Call Manager - thanks.

Kevin
I looked more carefully and the last line of your example does not follow the rest. May be a typo. Example shows: R015x.01.2.416.4 = CM 5.0, should it not read CM=5.1?

Kevin that question gets asked a lot here. Would you think about putting that down in the form of a FAQ??

Then we could just point people that it to the FAQ section.

"A people that values its privileges above its principles soon loses both."
- Dwight D. Eisenhower (1890-1969), Inaugural Address, January 20, 1953

For the best response to a question, read faq690-6594

I think that is an excellant suggestion.

Then, when you criticize them, you are a mile away ...
and you have their shoes.”

Another way...
Log in using ASA and then type - display capacity
at the last page (12) system show software version

Software Load: R015x.01.2.416.4 (for exapmle)
