What is the best way for the people answering the phone calls to tell if the call is for business A or business B? The clients are two restaurants that are owned by the same company but want the calls answered by which line is being called on and greeted with the name of business A or business B. The system is an new IPO 500V2 8.1 Essential Edition with 4 analog trunks. I was hoping that it was one station answering the calls but the lines will ring everywhere. Thank you.

With R8.1, display will be the best clue. The soon-to-be-released R9 may have some benefit for this situation with differentiated ringing.

Use the 'tag' field of the incoming call route. It should show the tag when the call comes in on the display.

A genius doesn't solve problems, he prevents them~~!!~~

each company will have to have unique incoming line group ids, pointing to a incoming call handling treatment with a tag at the bottom, or route to a different hunt group for both companies, then it will display the name of the hunt groups.

acss sme acis sme acss cm 5.2.1 acss cm and cmm acss aura messaging.

Hunt group will save reprogramming a concept later on when they decide they don't wan't a particular phone to ring anymore.

+1 for holdmusic34's suggestion
