Call forwarding When Hunting

Good morning

Current setup

A toll free number gets route to 549 9700. The 9700 Extension number is configures as a Virtual phone. Direct forwarded to a pilot DN 2700. Which is then in a hunting group to 10 phones.

This is working fine. The problem comes in when they would like to forward their phones to the switch board to have daily meetings for about 10minites. It does not work over the group hunt. Work fine when you dial the person’s extension directly.

I removed them from the hunting group setting the hunting to work on the individual’s phones but that only worked with 4 of the phones then it stops hunting. Can’t setup and acd because they are using the wrong type of phones.

Please find current config.

just a thought
why not setup a key on there sets to GHD when activated it will remove them from the hunt group, then add the swbd dn as the last hunt dn....that way if all sets are busy/unavailable the calls will go to the swbd..worth a try.

I could be wrong, but I'm pretty sure if you set CFWI to yes this will forward the group hunt calls to the switchboard also.

Also, I'm no expert in this, but just curious - why didn't you just forget about setting up 9700 as a phantom phone and just create the hunt group with pilot DN 9700?

Hope this is of some help to you, but zog's idea might be more what you're looking for. That way if user's wern't in the office their phone wouldn't get calls for the group hunt because they've logged out of it.

use remote forwarding on the vitural set (scpw+rcfw). that makes it clean, just change the target of the primary answer point
