Call Forwarding Question

Hi all, we have three definity G3si running R8.1, one on each campus ... ok have you stopped laughing at our old system lol. We also are running a single Intuity Audix system that is used by all three campuses. We have coverage after forwarding turned on in the system parameters coverage-forwading form. So when I call a forwarded extension my call goes to the destination and if not answered it then follows the destination's coverage path which is usually just to voice mail. If the extension is forwarded to an extension on another switch the same happens. So my question is under what circumstances will a forwarded extension still go to its own voice mail which probably means it did not forward. Our President's assistant asked me since she had forwarded her calls to another assistant for a couple days and expected to have no voice mail and get all her messages from the other person. Today she came in and found voice mail in her mailbox. Any ideas?
 
Oh also forgot to mention that on the originating set I had this issue with, the coverage after forwarding is set to 'S' to use the system default.
 
Using the system setting on the station field won't suppress the coverage action if the system paramater for call forwarding is set to "y" on coverage after forwarding. Your best bet is probably to set the station setting to "n".

From the avaya admin guide:

Coverage After Forwarding
This field governs whether an unanswered forwarded call is provided coverage treatment.
Valid entries Usage

y Coverage treatment is provided after forwarding regardless of the value of the Coverage After Forwarding field on the System Parameters - Call Coverage/Call Forwarding screen.

n No coverage treatment is provided after forwarding regardless of the value of the Coverage After Forwarding field on the System Parameters - Call Coverage/Call Forwarding screen.

s(ystem) Indicates that call processing uses the Coverage After Forwarding field on the System Parameters Call Coverage/CallForwarding screen. To override the system-wide parameter for agiven station, set this field to y or n.
