Could someone please let me know how a person with an 8434DX phone can set his phone to forward to a different internal ext if he is away. Calls from external sources are rolling to the proper coverage, but I thought for int exts all he had to do was push menu on the phone, then scroll to callfwd, then type the ext he wants int exts to roll to and it is a done deal. Could someone please clarify...Thanks in advance

I like using feature codes.

1.do a "disp feature access codes" find the appropriate code to enable and disable call-fwd

2. give the user theses codes and direct him/her/it like this. Press speaker or lift the handset, dial the call-fwd access code and then the destination to be forwaded, to you should hear a confirmation tone. To disable press speaker or lift the handset and dial the disable call-fwd acces code, you should hear a confirmation tone.

3. or you can program the codes plus the dial string onto a button.

but what you said should work unless this is for a brdg-appr line on his/her/it's phone.

You could also place a system preset "Call-Fwd" button on a hard touch button.
This button's LED will light when forwarding is on and will be off when forwarding is off.
