I used to have a set plugged in at ext 3597. When I started working from home, I moved the set to a different ext for someone else to use. However, I still wanted to maintain my extension number/DID number. So currently, ext 3597 does not have a set plugged into it. All of the programming is still in place though. For example, Call Forward No Answer is set to delay of 4 and then forward to VM DN.
At first, this was working fine. However, lately, if I call my DID number, it just rings forever and never forwards to VM. Does a set have to physically be plugged in for Call Forward to take effect?
Since I'm remote 95% of the time, it will several weeks before I can get in to plug in a set and mess with it. I do however have a FastRAD on site and NRU available. I thought that turning on Call Forward (as in Feature 4) might work but I don't see any way to do this using NRU. Am I missing something? The bottom line... I just want calls to my DID number to go to my voice mail where I can get notified and then check at my convenience. Any ideas? Thanks
